Training

Quantum Communications is a political agency led by some of Scotland’s most experienced journalists. Our media and parliamentary committee training programmes are different to those provided by any other agency.

We have real-life experience of the modern newsroom, a team of broadcast commentators, and experience of preparing politicians for national debates.

Our media team’s extensive experience includes editing national newspapers, writing for local and national publications, political reporting and commentary for the BBC, STV and national radio, producing TV bulletins, and guiding corporate and charity leaders through interviews.

We also provide expert training ahead of parliamentary committee sessions, capitalising on our experience of running government and political party communication departments and preparing politicians for gruelling debates.

Our training programmes are tailored to your needs. We combine presentations with practical exercises, including:

  • What makes a news story
  • Q&A with journalists
  • Preparing for a broadcast interview
  • Mock interviews, TV panels, and committee sessions
  • Handling difficult questions
  • Getting your message across
  • Parliamentary committee prep
  • How to write a press release or op-ed
  • Crisis communication scenarios.
